Exeter Cathedral Wedding
It’s not easy to be allowed to tie the knot at Exeter Cathedral. They host no more than two weddings a year. Tim and Cressida’s links to the cathedral permitted them to marry at this historical monument. The bride arrived in a beautiful vintage Rolls walking through the nave to the altar, flagged on both sides by the choir in full song. Goosebump moment memory.
The hour long ceremony was conducted by the Very Reverend Jonathan Greener, Dean of Exeter supported by the choir with readings by a family friend and the Canon Precentor. It really was quite a special and unique ceremony. After the formalities had been concluded drinks and canapes were served in the Chapter House before the party made its way to the Nave where the tables were set for the wedding breakfast preceded by the speeches. Evening entertainment was expertly handled by a ceilidh band who led some very enthusiastic dancing by the guests. This is one of those weddings that will stick in the memory.
